I just saw my Ob yesterday. She measured me & even redid to make sure she did it correctly. She said I was measuring 26cm. On 4/7 I saw her at 20wk along & I measured 19cm. I asked her if this could be to much amniotic fluid (polyhydramnios) but she said it could possibly be a large baby. Our son born nearly 10 yrs ago had oligohydramnios & IUGR due to placental insufficiency, so she aware of this & will monitor accordingly. My question would be is 7cm a really large growth in a months time. I might mention that I lost 11 lbs during 1st trimester & have gradually since 16 wks gained back 12 lbs since 4th month. My weight gain from last month was 6 lbs (I know ideally not what doctors want to see....) Could this account for 7 cm growth since last month? I'm trying not to become overly anxious during this pregnancy. Previous to this one I had 2 miscarriages & it took almost a yr of trying to become pregnant. Oh I did have a amnio in march which showed all is well. I am schedule for a complete ultrasound Monday to check for fetal anomalies & also a cyst I've had. (It was 8.4cm at largest but has shrunk considerably. I still am having quite a bit of pain though.) Any insight any docs could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
