The more procedures you have doesn't necessarily equal a better outcome. >From what you describe your care has been typical to a low risk pregnancy with all the important screenings (glucose, GBS etc..). Internals are not necessary at all unless your dr is concerned about pre-trem labor. Many practitioners do NO cervical exams to check for dilation at the end of a pregnancy. They serve no purpose other than to satisfy curiousity. I wouldn't expect a second U/S unless the first one showed something to be concerned about or you go overdue. Honestly, all sounds well. The only thing I would be concerned about is your dr's lack of time to talk with you. Your physical care sounds fine from what you say. Regardless, if you are not happy with your care you should change dr's until you find someone you are content with. Karen
