Re: Pregnancy After Still BornFrom: chris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 03 May 1999 10:04:05 PDT
I had a still birth two years ago, when I was at 24 weeks. I am now 33 weeks pregnant, and I can understand your mixed emotions. Dispite the excitment of this new baby a lot of old feeling have resurfaced for me, and I found that I was not able to get as excited about this baby. I was so afraid that I would loose this baby that I almost didn't want to love her! My first daughters name was Alexandra, and I went throught a really hard time when she died. What I found that helped me, was we had burried Alex, and I went to the grave and talked to her and my husband there about the new baby. I felt like having a new baby was almost a betral to Alex. I found that until the date passed when I lost Alex, I was distant and I was just reliving everything that had happened before. Now everything is new and easier to take. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to tell you to make it feel better. I hope you can move past this and enjoy this baby. If you would like to talk more, I am at cb_103@hotmail.com Good luck with this pregnancy! Christine
