In January our first baby, Elliot, was born still and I've just learned that I am pregnant again (about 5 weeks along). Needless to say, we are very excited but also very fearful of the next 8/9 months. I was wondering if anyone who has also experienced this situation would be willing to share with me what helped them get through their subsequent pregnancy. And to the medical professionals, how do you work with your patients in these situations. As no explanation was ever determined for Elliot's death, I'm concerned that we don't feel like we know what to look for to prevent this from happening again. I also never had any complications throughout his pregnancy, his little heart just stopped beating. Any thoughts or ideas from others who've gone before me and the medical professionals who care for us would be very helpful. Thanks.
