Same exact thing happens here. Our dog can bark like a maniac right next to her porta crib in the living room which is near the front door and Grace doesn't startle if she is awake or wake up if she is sleeping.

I agree, Grace will think her name is "BRIDGET!!! SHUSH!!!!!"
