I am 17 weeks pregnant and a week after my last appointment my OB called to tell me I tested Positive for Marijuana. I didn't even know that she was going to drug test me. Is this envasion of privacy or a normal part of prenatal care these days? Everyone I asked that I knew smoked marijuana while they were pregnant were shocked that my doctor tested me. I know many, many women who all have had healthy,. normal babies that smoked while pregnant. My own mother smoked marijuana while she was pregnant with all 3 of her kids,. there is nothing wrong with us! My OB said that she was going to test me again at my next visit. If I test positive again, (I shouldn't becasue I have quit) what kind of action would she take? Would she recommend I go to rehab. or will D.H.S. be waiting to take my child when I deliver? Thanks for any response!
