Re: WIFE IN THE HOSPITAL FOR HYPERTENSIONFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu, 22 Apr 1999 14:04:17 EDT
I am glad she is getting proper treatment now. I had severe preeclampsia and had my daughter at 33 weeks. The stress she had been under because of the poor blood flow through the placenta caused her to have IUGR but it also caused her organs to develop more quickly so she had no lung problems or jaundice. She is 8 months now and petite (25% for weight and height) but perfect. She just got her first tooth and is starting to crawl. I hope everything goes well and she makes it to full term but I wanted to know that even though it is very scary having a premature baby, if she has to everything will be okay. Lori
