low dose aspirine in fetal growth retardation preventionFrom: catia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 17 Apr 1999 11:58:31 -0500 (CDT)
hi there, my name is catia and a year ago I had the awful experience of delivering a still born baby. The doctors had diagnosed fetal growth retardation after a very bad lack of amniotic liquid that eventually led to intrauterine fetal death. 3 months ago I had a missed abortion at the second month today I found out I am pregnant and obviously HORRIFIED. More than one doc had suggested I should take baby aspirin for the whole pregnancy ( I had started it in the second one)as I am at risk of having another iugr.Should I take it? Does it help? Dos it do any harm? I am very worried as I change country often because of my husband's job and I jus got in Beijing where I do not know any doctor. The autopsy of the baby revealed no abnormalities, neither did the tests performed on me and my husband in fact the result states that the iufd was unexplained Please advise Thank you sooo much Catia
