baby positionFrom: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 14 Apr 1999 13:03:55 -0500 (CDT)
At my 28-week appointment yesterday, the doctor said baby was head-down. Is he likely to stay this way, or do they still "flip-flop" a lot during the last trimester? When do they settle into an anterior or posterior position? (1st was posterior). Also, he told me that he will probably do a vaginal exam at my next appointment (31 weeks). The OB that delivered my first son did no vaginals after the 12-week visit. I think my OB is being a little extra cautious since my first child was born at 37 weeks after a fairly short labor (about 4 hours). What is the common practice for vaginal exams in late pregnancy? Thanks, Andrea
