Pubic bone pain only in the morningFrom: Tina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Mar 1999 12:09:23 -0600 (CST)
Hi all I am almost 32 weeks along now. Lately I have been having a lot of pain on my pubic bone only when I wake up in the morning. It hurts quite badly to pull my legs together or move them apart as I change sleeping positions or roll out of bed in the morning. Once I am out of bed the pain is gone and doesn't return until the following morning. I feel no discomfort (pain or pressure) when I walk, stand, sit, or even ly down at night. It is only in the morning. It does not feel like ligament or muscle pain, but the bone itself feels like it is splitting in two. Is it possible for my baby's head to engage at night and then move once I start moving around? I was told that once she engages she will stay engaged. I believe I am carrying low as I have never had trouble catching my breath or with heartburn and the feeling of having to pee constantly never went away since my first trimester (it has actually gotten worse about the same time I started having this bone pain). Is it possible it is caused by the way I sleep? Anybody have any suggestions. It is really not that big of a deal but I am just curious as to what the cause is and whether she is engaging and then disengaging. Many thanks, Tina
