Yeast InfectionFrom: KH (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Mar 1999 09:25:08 -0600 (CST)
Since Mid February (when I was about 4 weeks pregnant) I have been battling a yeast infection. In the past month and a half I have gone through two courses on Monistat, and have used a topical cream comprised of Canestan and Hydrocortisone. My latest course of Monistat was completed last week, ending on March 26. Still I have had no relief. In addition to the medical treatments, I have also consumed yogurt with live cultures, in the hopes of tackling this persistent irritation. I visited my family Dr. who said that in pregnancy there is not much else you can use to treat candidas. I am at my wits end. In my entire life I have only had 1 or 2 yeast infections, and now since pregnancy I have had one continuous problem. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant, and the only other problem that I have encountered was a UTI, which I discovered around the time that the yeast infections started back in February. I am wondering if anyone can suggest any other options which I might have to finally irridicate this infection.
-- Thank you!
