Why not? Because suntanning is harmful to *you* whether it is from a tanning salon or the real thing. I have done both in the past religiously and it's amazing how quickly your skin can develop problems from the unnecessary exposure. Luckily I noticed problematic areas and had them treated by a dermatologist quickly. Tanned skin is not worth going thru that again. Aren't there any self-tanning products that are safe to use while pregnant if you absolutely have to have that look? Mary
