Pg number 2 cerclage was placed preventatively at week 12 it was a success. Pg number 3 cerclage was placed at 12 weeks and I miscarried. Pg number 4 cerclage was placed at 14 weeks and it pulled out at 21 weeks. Pg number 5 cerclage was placed at 11 weeks and was a success. My cervix was fine after my miscarriage and after the cerclage that pulled out. With the miscarriage we just removed the stitch and a D&C was done. When the cerclage pulled out it was just removed and regular labor and delivery followed. When I went into labor when stitch pulled out they tried to stop labor with brethine and magnesium sulfate but it was too late. I took brethine starting at week 18 with my 5th pg. I had lots of uterine irritability so I used the brethine as needed. I also used indomethicin 1 hr before every internal so irritability didn't start up and send me into contrax's. I only had u/s every 2-3 weeks with pg 5. all other cerclage pgs I just had a 16 week u/s except for the pg miscarriage at week 13. You may be interested in reading my pg story in the success story section here at Pg & Birth. My story is featured here this month. If you have trouble locating it let me know. Jenn
