My only pain was the first stick , the contractions hurt much worse than that little neddle. about a half an hour later I was in heaven, I was in full labor and was laughing and talking as I delievered my baby girl. I didn't even know I was pushing I thought I was just holding my breath. The epidural was the greatst thing because I realy enjoyed my babys birth. For those who don't believe they had to stick me twice because it didn't do the first time. The small amount of pain from that is no worse than a needle at the dentist. Make sure you tell them when you are having a contraction and it will help. good luck > missy
