I'm facing this same situation. My Ob showed me the results of the studies she accessed and calculated my risk of rupture after 3 sections as less than 4%. The risk of rupture after 1 section is less than 1%. So you see, although the risk of rupture is higher, it is still VERY small.

Nevertheless, I am not having an easy time of it in achieving an OB group which is 100% willing to attend my vbac after 3 sections even though I have already had one successful vbac, which is very frustrating for me since the risk is so small. Still, the risk of a section -I feel- is greater than a properly monitored vbac, barring any other complications. I am not a Dr, so this is my personal experience and opinions.
