Basically, it is just a more in depth u/s and takes about 45 mins. to an hour to complete. The tech or doctor really looks over every inch of the baby measuring all the vital organs, cord, bones, head circumfrance (sp?), etc. There are no needles (unless your doctor recommends an amnio), nor anything else...just the u/s doppler and some gel on the belly! Good luck! My u/s came back fine and they have no reason to believe my daughter will have anything "wrong" w/her! ~Lou~
