Hello I am not a doctor but I can tell you some information I found out about chicken pox immunity. My husband has never had the chicken pox and is a school teacher. We were concerned when I got pregnant that he may be exposed even though I have already had them. He went to his doctor for an antibody screen and it turns out he is immune to the chicken pox even though he has never had them. The same is true of my friend's husband. >From what we were told, 80% of people who are unsure about prior
exposure or who have never had the chicken pox are immune anyway. You may want to have your doctor screen your blood for antibodies before visiting anyone who has the virus.
