Chicken Pox exposure when pregnant

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant, and have never had the Chicken Pox. My sister's two children both have Chicken Pox, and my question is this - how contagious is Chicken Pox? My concern is that I have plans to get together with my mom on Sunday, and she looks after the children daily. My mom is immune (i.e.: she has had Chicken Pox), is there any way that I could contract the condition from my mom, just by the fact that she had recently been around two patients with the disease? i.e.: can Chicken Pox be transmitted through clothing or any possible method other than direct contact with the patients. Your advise would be greatly appreciated, as I do not want to put me or my baby at any unecessary risk.
