Progesterone Injection to avoid Miscarriage

I've heard that progesterone injections before 11 weeks of pregnancy can avoid miscarriage at a later stage of pregnancy.

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant but have lost 2 previous pregnancies. The first pregnancy lost at 8 weeks and the second at 22 weeks.

I'm interested in comments as the only information source I have access to suggests that ovarian cysts (luteal phase) are attributed to a low progesterone level and thus result in miscarriage.

Could anyone comment as I'm considerably anxious.

Thanks.
