Early U/S and AccuracyFrom: Kris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 7 Mar 1999 10:54:54 -0600 (CST)
I had an u/s done at 8 weeks and the baby measured 8.3 weeks. I then had another u/s done at 9.3 weeks (due to cramping) and the baby only measured 9.1 weeks. I'm concerned about this. Is there reason for concern. The u/s revealed, good amniotic fluid, no bleeding, good fetal heartbeat, and even some movement, and no reason for the cramping, except possible stretching. I'm being monitored very closely because of my past history, this is my 4th pg and still no living children. I go to the dr again this Thursday, which would make me 11.6 weeks, we are going to check for a heart beat. I'm scared to death, but really I'm trying not to stress over the situation. I am still having occasional nausea and dizziness. But I'm wondering if maybe this may have something to do with the 600 mg of Prometrium that I am on. I know from my past experience that you can still loss a pg while being on Prometrium, but I did not begin bleeding until after I stopped the medication, and that is what I'm afraid of this time. Any incite on the this, would be greatly appreciated. To all the drs who donate their time to this forum, it is really nice to have you hear and for your opinions. Thanks again!!!
