I have one problem concerning my due date. If I were to base it on my LMP which was on July 19th 1998, my due date will be 26th of April 1999. And this was the date my gynae gave me at my first visit. He also did an US to confirm this but during my check-up on the 3rd of Feb 1999, he commented that my uterus seemed to be bigger that he expected. He did an US and told me that the baby's size corresponds to 31 weeks and that brings forward my EDD to 5th of April 1999. My concern now is my husband is supposed to go on a business trip from 1st to 12th of April. I really need to confirm my EDD. Which date is more reliable? My last period in July was vey scanty and only lasted for three days. Could I not rely on this? According to my gynae an US done towards the end of pregnancy to determine EDD is quite inaccurate. So he told me that I would be due anytime between 5/4/99 and 26/4/99 - my question is is there a way which I can really determine my EDD? Should I rely on my first US or the second one?
