Elevated TSH & 2 pregnancy lossesFrom: Sheila (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 3 Mar 1999 01:09:00 -0600 (CST)
Have had 2 blighted ovums this year (no previous pregnancies). My OB just did "routine" tests for prolactin & Thyroid. Prolactin came back normal, but the Thyroid was "marginally elevated" indicating low-acting thyroid. I have to get retested tomorrow. Does this result mean that is what caused the blighted ovum? If so, can it be fixed or prevented for future pregnancies? Also, what are the other implications of this problem? I can't get any info from my doctor because of his busy surgery schedule. Please help with any info at all. I have looked on the 'net but am getting a bit confused by all of this. Thank you! Sheila
