Now on this my fourth pregnancy it separated by 26 weeks. I am now almost 37 weeks and the gap is pretty large-about 2"x3". Makes for really interesting viewing when the baby gets going:) If I am doing anything really strenuous I splint it. It has never effected me in labor in anyway whatsoever. Karen
