A very big questionFrom: Liz (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 21 Feb 1999 15:11:31 -0600 (CST)
Are there any known links between the following: 1. obstetric cholestasis 2. macrocytosis 3. red blotchy hands and excessive oestrogen 4. an irritable bowel???? I have medically confirmed in all of the above, except 1, although I suffered dreadful itching during the last two months of my first pregnancy, centered on the tops of my arms, my thighs and the very low area of my bump. My midwife said it was something which sounded like 'prerago', and was not worried. But we plan our second pregnancy, and since the first was so traumatic we'd like to be well informed. I have included all the other areas because I have been reading about them recently during a period of feeling unwell, and have noticed a few recurrent symptoms. I know this is a vast question, but it is the culmination of a lot of worry and effort! Any advice, replies, messages of where to go next for info. etc. would be very gratefully received. Thanks!
