Premature birth due to mild placental abruption

Hi!! I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy almost a year ago. He was born 9 weeks premature because there was a tear somewhere in the placenta. We are planning our next pregnancy and I am concerned of this happening again. I would appreciate any information about what could cause this to happen and is there anything I can do to help prevent it happening again?
