Abdominal pain during 2nd trimesterFrom: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 31 Jan 1999 23:51:42 -0600 (CST)
I am currently 18 weeks pregnant. I am familiar with the ligament pains associated with pregnancy, and have frequently felt them on the sides of my pelvis. On a couple of occasions, though, I have had sharp pain right in the middle of my lower abdomen about halfway between my navel and my pubic bone. This has happened when I get up from a chair or rollover in bed, and lasted about a minute or so. No bleeding or cramping, everything normal to my knowledge. Is this also typical ligament pain, or could there be other causes for this kind of pain? It also seems like this spot on my abdomen is often mildly sore (just since I've been pregnant). I notice this soreness when I bend over to get something, or lean into a countertop trying to reach a shelf. Thanks, Andrea
