Re: No newborn nursery?

I'm not a doctor or anything. My understanding (asked a lot of questions when my baby was in NICU) is that most hospitals have a level 2 nursery, not every hospital has a level 3 which is reserved for very sick, very premature, or babies with bigger problems. If your baby needed level 3 care, it would be transported to a hospital with a level 3 nursery. In the state of Oregon where I live, there are only 2 hospitals (I think Oregon Health & Sciences University has a level 3 also, not sure) with level 3 nursery, and they get babies from all over the state.
