No newborn nursery?From: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Jan 1999 14:09:42 -0600 (CST)
I visited two different hospitals this past weekend and found that neither of them had a traditional newborn nursery. The baby receives all of its care, including transition period, in the mother's room (I assume they take boy babies somewhere else for circumcision). They do have small nurseries with a nurse to take care of babies who need extra care. They both claim to be level 2. Is this a common trend with hospitals, or is it just a fluke with the two that I visited? Andrea
