Jaime- I have cared for hundreds of women with fibroids during pregnancy, and have only had a couple of complications from them. Your doctor was correct you give you all of the information, but please realize that very few complications develop from fibroids during pregnancy. I cannot quote you the percentage of ladies with fibroids who need a c/section, but I would guess it's 1 percent or less. A more common problem is mild to moderate abdominal discomfort off and on throughout the pregnancy. Good luck and congratulations!
