High blood pressure concerns

I just got back from my OB visit -- am 38.5 weeks pregnant (almost there!) and have been dilated at 2-3 cm for the past three weeks. Up until recently, My pregnancy blood pressure was around 100/66. Last week, it was 110/70. I have been experiencing tenderness in my abdomen (above and to right of navel) for past two weeks. Not high enough to be liver problem, I was told. Today, my BP showed 150/100 two times, then 132/88 two times later on in visit. This week, I was very calm going into the visit, feeling like I am "almost there" -- so I don't believe it is about nerves. My urine has showed "trace" protein every visit for the past few months.

I was sent home to keep any eye out for excessive swelling, headaches, spots in eyes. Should I have requested further testing (blood -- to check liver, platelets, etc...)?

I have had a slight headache the past few days in the back of my head -- where neck attaches. Where would the "headache" that I am supposed to look out for appear? Also, I have felt more heartburn and nausea these past two weeks than I have since the 1st trimester. I did have some spurt of weight gain three weeks ago, but this past visit, I actually lost 4 lbs since last week.

I guess I am not comfortable with the idea of "waiting" for more serious things to happen before I get more closely monitored. It seems that everything I have read anywhere say that an increase in BP of 30 for top # and +15 for bottom number warrants some serious looking into.

Any advice would be appreciated.
