Re: Amniotic Fluid loss & VITAMIN E?From: Noelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Jan 1999 11:05:23 -0600 (CST)
Dear Dee, First, keep up HOPE - nothing is 100% certain, and maybe your doctor is wrong is saying your baby has little to no chance of survival. Have you had (or can you get) a level II ultrasound and consult with a perinatologist? That may be helpful in detecting any possible underlying causes of the Oligohydramnios (if that's what the problem is). Hopefully, such an in-depth consult would show things to be fine with the baby, but you may need that for your own peace of mind either way. I also agree with Elizabeth - everything I have on low amniotic fluid level says push fluids big time. I have a question for the medical professionals here -- Isn't there something about increasing levels of Vitamin E as a possible aid in sealing a prematurely ruptured/leaking back of waters? You and your baby will be in my thoughts, Dee. (((hugs)))
