Amniotic Fluid loss

I'm having a problem with low amniotic fluid. Let me go back a bit first. On Dec. 7th I went to my ob because of light bleeding and was told I had slight previa. On Dec. 8th I went to the E.R. with severe bleeding and cramping. They detected a large clot under the placenta and told me it was a "wait and see" thing. The next day I went back to the E.R. after having passed a clot over 1 foot long. Amazingly, the baby was doing fine. Then, on January 21st I started losing amniotic fluid. It came in a large gush. I went to the E.R. and my level was at 5.7. While they waited to take me to my room (they decided to keep me overnight), and after the ultrasound I lost quite a bit more water. No other ultrasound was done until today. Today, my Dr. has told me that my level was at 3.6-4.5 (they measured twice) and since it was down my baby has little to no chance of survival. I really feel that I have produced more. When I left the hosp. I couldn't tell I was pregnant by touching my abdomen, now I can.

Since the hosp. visit, I have only had a couple incidents of water, and only in small drops.

I am going to a specialist on Friday. I'm a little concerned about what to expect. I'm not ready to give up on my baby. What kinds of options are there besides termination? (something I won't do unless my life is in danger)

BTW, I'm about 21 weeks, edd 6-7-99

Any advice appreciated!
