I am ashamed to say that I had an abortion in November. I have regretted my decision ever since. I am 43 and never had a child and I now know what a wonderful opportunity I passed up. I would like to have a child now and wanted to know if there is any reason that I couldn't get pregnant again. I terminated at 8 weeks by D&C, had alot of cramping during the procedure but very little bleeding afterwards. I had my first period 6 weeks later than my next at 28 days. My flow seems normal with very little clotting. The only difference from the past is that it can be bright red. I recently thought I was pregnant. I thought I felt implantation - over a few days, I felt a pinching or scratching in the area of the uterous followed by some cramping. I'm worried that I could have been and for some reason wasn't able to maintain it. Any information you can provide would be very helpful.
