Many new studies suggest that if seizure free for 2-3 years,can try coming off meds under neurologist's supervision.Also depends on initial cause of seizures.Data suggests valproic acid is a teratogen--some new work casting little doubt on this.Would rec. switching to another drug for pregnancy;discuss this with your OB.
