The doctor saw a heart beat via u/s at 10 weeks...I went back at 14 weeks and he could not hear the heart via doppler but did see it on the u/s again. I saw the heart beat and questioned the rate because it looked very slow. He agreed and took the "wait and see approach"....I went back on the 17th week and again, he could not hear the heart via doppler so we went back to the u/s room where he did not see the heart beat....This was then confirmed by the u/s specialist and we found that the baby's heart did stop some time with in the previous week.

I would have her ask the doctor if he is waiting to see or if this is normal this early in pregnancy. I would be very concerned. I wish the doctors would some how warn us of their suspision of pending miscarriage. This is not the kind of surprise we want to wait for.

I am sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear but this is only my story. I pray the outcome is not the same as mine. Will you please write to me to let me know what happened? Thanks...Gina gksbrat@aol.com
