HI! NEED ADVICE!From: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 17 Jan 1999 18:30:43 -0600 (CST)
I am due and was hospitalized w/ contractions 2-3 minutes apart for 7 hours. But my cervix failed to progress at all. I was not even (almost) 50% effaced and barley a fingertip dilated and never changed all day. So I was sent home. I have reg. contractions off and on all day every day but the cervix does not seem to change. It is very frustrating to go thru all these contractins w/ no change. Are the any suggestions to consult with my doc on what to do to get the cervix ripe and make labor contractions be productive? I also am wondering if progesterone vag. gel taken for about the first 16 weeks made my cervix thicker and denser than it should be and this is what the problem is. Thanks for all the help.
