The progestin only "minipill" or longer acting DepoProvera would be acceptable choices for a breastfeeding mom with HTN.Many medications are safe for nursing moms while nursing for control of blood pressure---normodyne,calcium channel blockers to name only a few.Your OB could give you much more info on this subject;--DON'T QUIT NURSING!!!
