I have done a lot of research on the dopplers, and decided against them. In talking to people who have them, they said that you couldn't hear the heartbeat until you were about 25 weeks and later. They don't pick up until you could use a regular stethoscope on them. I also had a m/c, and thought about this, but I would just stay stressed even more if I bought one and COULDN'T hear it, as would be the case cause I'm only 18 weeks. Just hold out until the doc appt...it'll be worth it! (you could always buy a stethoscope...may be cheaper than the dopplers!) Good luck, Juliana due 6/1/99
