In talking to people who have them, they said that you couldn't hear the heartbeat until you were about 25 weeks and later. They don't pick up until you could use a regular stethoscope on them. I also had a m/c, and thought about this, but I would just stay stressed even more if I bought one and COULDN'T hear it, as would be the case cause I'm only 18 weeks.
