HSG dye testFrom: Teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 26 Dec 1998 19:47:02 -0600 (CST)
I am 34 yrs old. I had tubal reanastomosis done 4-1-98. Everything went fine. My hubby and I have been trying since then to conceive. Nothing yet. So on 12/17/98 the Dr. did a Hysterosalpingogram and the tubes are open with no obstruction. My question is, should we start fertility drugs? If so, what do you recommend. Please note that my husband and I have two boys already ages 11 &12 with no trouble conceiving then. After the 2nd child I got my tubes tied. Lately we have been wanting to try again, which is why we had the tubal reversed in April. I am wondering if I am not producing healthy eggs. In October of 97 I had fluid removed fom my left ovary which had that ovary very large and inflamed. It had me in excruciating pain as time went on. Thamk goodness it wasn't malignant. I am also wondering if I am going through early menopause, because at night some times I get real hot. I am not sick. I am in good health. Sometimes I just get really hot in the middle of the night. My periods are not irregular, but I am on 28 day cycle. I am not sure that I am ovulating. What do you recommend to stimulate ovulation. We have already tried the ov kits to tell when the lutenizing hormone surge is up. Unfortunately that has not helped us. Please respond. I've read up on clomid and I know that it is usually for women that have irregular periods. That rules me out. Thanks in advance for your help.
