I would think you could have heard it with a doppler in the office, unless your uterus is very retroflexed (tilted backward), or if you are a little overweight (sorry, but this is a medical discussion, and it is harder to hear an early pregnant heart beat in a heavy patient). If you have heard the fetal heart, I would be less worried. I would also be a little more worried if you had had symptoms earlier, and have now lost them. Anyway, your MD should be able to help you out by listening for the heart tones. Hope all is ok, and Happy Holidays.
