Hi, my question is after I had my first baby in March 1997, I had to have my placenta manually removed, my OB said this was Placenta Accreta and can result in a total hysterectamy, I am now 14 weeks pregnant and am scared that it will happen again ... is this likely to happen second time around and would it help if I was induced early, or is would the placenta already be embedded ?? Can an ultrasound pick up if it will happen ... and lastly why does this condition happen ....

thanks
