>Mom to Robert Pierce IV Hi Amy, Your son was born the day after my birthday! I can sympathize with your pain. Are you breastfeeding? If so, breastfeeding can take a toll on the delicate vaginal tissues and the result is an awful pain with intercourse. I believe the medical term is vaginal atrophy, or something similar. Please do see your doctor. If your problem is what I mentioned then a prescription of estrogen cream will do the trick. And be sure to keep some Astroglide handy, it is the best lubricant on the market. If this is not the case, your doc will be able to help find the answer. But do go see him/her. No need to suffer with this pain. Best of luck to you and let us know what you find out. Sincerely,
