Hi Chris,

I agree somewhat about the "Russian roulette" aspect of it all, but I believe that going by the CDC recommendations is the best evidence-based course to take on this one.

Again, I agree. The short IV duration is thought to NOT be as effective (that's why my situation was less than ideal). However, it's my understanding that it's still more effective than oral abx in late pregnancy only.

So many unanswered questions, for sure!
