But--- You must use the bell of the stethoscope (the part with the depression, not the flat part), and you will probably have problems by yourself, unless the tubing on the steth is very long. That is because with short tubing, you must tense up your abdominal muscles to reach, that pushes your uterus deeper and thickens the abdomen and will make it harder for YOU to hear!
