obvious absence of the yolk sac, and what she called "changes in the placenta" Dear Evette Dont worry yet! The yolk sac is not always seen at 9 weeks. I do not know what "changes" were seen but I would suggest that you go back and ask your specialist what he/she means! You have had a test and deserve a full explanation of the results.
