Fetal movement - I can't feel it yet!!!From: Sharizad (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Nov 1998 04:08:42 -0600 (CST)
I am currently about 18 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. My biggest concern now is I don't feel even the slightest movement of the baby - no fluttering, no butterfly-like feeling!! My last u/s was at 16 weeks and everything is normal and according to my gynae in about two weeks I should be able to feel the baby moving. I am currently very worried that something is not right. My second concern (which is driving me crazy!) is that only few days back my 18 months old son was diagnosed to have gross motor skills delays and mild hypotonia. I am still waiting for the results of the blod test. His problem could be muscular or central. My two other daughters are normal. I am really scared and worried - not feeling the baby movement at 18 weeks make me think of all possibilities. Could this baby also have will be the same like my son? Should I go for amnio. with this baby? I really hope someone could shed some lights into this. I am losing sleep over this and very, very worried. Thansk in advance. Izad
