What they are measuring is the height of your uterus, from the top of your pubic bone to the top of your uterus (the fundus). From about 20 weeks to about 36 weeks, the height in cm will fairly closely correspond with the number of weeks pregnant you are (from your LMP). For instance, at 28 weeks the average woman will measure 28 cm fundal height. Variations are normal, most especially if it is not the same person measuring each time. Consistency is mostly what is looked for. The only major concern is if there is no growth or the growth falls behind. ****************************** Suzanne S.
