In general, the best thing to do is to sit down with the parents ahead of time and discuss the issues with them and explain risks and benefits. Then let them decide as best you and they can. If below 22 weeks, we just tell them that there is no chance whatever. If 22-23 weeks we say the chance is less than 1%. by 26 weeks we may be up to 10-30% and by 28 weeks up to 80-85% survival. That does not take into accunt the intactness of the survival.
