I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and have been exposed to and contracted fifth disease. I am interested in any information on the effect this will have on my pregnancy and the fetus. I have been told that there is an increased risk of miscarrage and birth defects but with no specifics. Any specific information (types of birth defect, effective fetal testing for defects, chances of miscarriage, etc.) or sources of information would be appreciated.
