Despite nursing, my period has been reg. since my son was 10 weeks old (he is now 10 mon).Until now. My last period was Sept. 4 . I have had 4 neg. preg.tests( the last one was 11-9) My doctor wants to start me on Provera to jump start my period. At the moment we are giving it another week - I am a bit concerned about the hormones throwing my sons system off . Can you give me some info on the drug for this use in general ? and on it's affects with nursing?

Also, I know since I havn't had a period my uterine lining is probably building up. If by chance I were to ovulate before we started the drug and became preg. could the lining build up affect the baby in any way?

And, we are trying for another baby. Is there another med. that we might be ble to use? I forgot to ask my doc. when I talked to her last.
